stupid PDA tricks

I am really starting to hate my PDA. I love it too; it's one of those schizy relationships. It all started with the squnchy keyboard for the Samsung I-330. You see, it required X-Master. Now, that wasn't really a problem, but the hack wasn't very well written. It's called Fx200 Hack. It was causing errors. Weird ones. I made the mistake of leaving the keyboard driver enabled. This eventually led to Old SystemEvent errors in UseX-something-or-another.c, in line 262. I didn't write the error down, mostly because my phone froze up when I was driving down I-25!! At 65 MPH, troubleshooting a PDA phone was the last thing on my mind. So it insisted on rebooting and trying to restore the hack, and it didn't restore very well, and I eventually had to hard reset the system. Ouch. I restored everything, and once I left the hack un-enabled, things were better. I haven't had it seize up since. But I no longer leave the keyboard enabled unless I absolutely need it. I often leave the hack off too. I think what might have triggered it were alarms that went overdue while the keyboard was enabled. I am not entirely sure yet what the issue was. The company that wrote the keyboard driver is Korean, so I don't know what kind of support I'll get. The website where I looked for updated drivers was mostly in Korean. It's behaving better now... strange, how you have to mess with it so much. I think the worst part though, was when I installed the thumbboard. The driver on it didn't require some kind of X-Master hack, but it did rearrange the conduit so much that I had to uninstall AvantGo or else it wouldn't work. Considering the shenanigans with the squnchy keyboard, the thumbboard is starting to look like that best friend I haven't seen since first grade!
