Common feature throughout site is use of trailing graphic for back to top navigation (JavaScript)

Menu bar is resizable to browser window of 1600 x 1200 and pages are designed in proportional manner
Silent Auction page
Use of JavaScript-based slide show to display pictures from various events
All graphics were optimized for fastest possible display, as a significant number of users were determined to use dial-up from visitor statistics monitoring and analysis
Carbon Monoxide Poisoning page
Keeping up with the volume of articles was difficult - these were displayed within the navigational structure of the site, with the ability to click on the trailing navigation element and have it go back to the previous page as opposed to back to top - a tradeoff of familiarity and usability
How to Help page
Organization by topic addressed the limited menu bar capabilities that were requested by the client - here, the navigational graphic was changed to a baseball, (ball field construction being one of the non-profit's goals), and use of a familiar construct (the baseball diamond) helped visitors to remember where an item was for a subsequent visit
Fundraising pages
There were many ways to donate - a form to print out and mail, a method of donating securely over the Internet via credit card, purchasing fundraising items (also through a secure server via credit card)
Note the use of baseballs as a repeated motif throughout the site, tying the pages together while alluding to the ball field construction goal
Fundraising
Donations could be sent through Pay Pal, and automatically channeled into the bank account for the non-profit
Fundraising
Memorabilia items available in exchange for a donation - the shopping cart tied into a secure server where payment could be made through credit card

Alphabetic listings of over 1500 donors, with internal navigation using menu of A - Z hyperlinks to each section and the trailing navigational graphic returning users to the top of the page
Contact page
Although this page does not contain any sophisticated techniques, the artist who donated the original watercolor painting lives in Quebec, and speaks very little English, so in order to get her permission to display the graphic on the website, negotiations had to be conducted in French
Scrapbook page
The code was easy but the content was heart-breaking; use of thumb nailed graphics (after which, some of the thumbnails were edited), deckle edging as a background to the poetry contributed to the site, and scanning of unusual items, such as wooden plaques (JavaScript mouse overs to display both front and back) and cloth patches that would have been worn on a uniform
