boost listening center

Boost Listening Center is a hearing therapy practice that helps people overcome various learning disabilities and other conditions through auditory retraining. Originally, this practitioner was going to have a more child-oriented theme to the site, using crayons as a motif and bright primary colors. But after we sat down and talked about her target audience, it became clear that her practice served patients in a much wider age range. Older clients might not feel comfortable going to therapy at the place with the crayon motif! So I came up with the concept of her practice as an open book, which also had the added benefit of conveying learning and knowledge.
It's not just enough to load up her keywords in the meta tags. Since some search engines place more emphasis on keywords within the page itself, I made sure to cover all the bases.
Her phone number is in the title of every page, and her email address isn't buried several clicks away. She wanted to be easy to reach, and I think that was accomplished well here.
Interesting information about the doctor who pioneered this technique. This should help her come up better in various searches.
She still wanted to use bright primary colors, so I chose a pale yellow for the background, blue for the links, and red for the page titles. She is a big fan of the Comic font, which is part of her logo. If you've seen my other work, I'm not such a big fan of non-standard fonts, but the client did have a valid reason for going in that direction, so I took care of any compatibility issues in her CSS (cascading style sheet) file. If you don't have Comic, then it will display nicely in another series of fonts (whichever ones you have). I didn't do the titles as graphics, because that doesn't sit all that well with search engines. It also makes the pages faster to load.
I suggested that she have pages of testimonials from current and former clients. She's had some truly remarkable results, and I thought it might be very helpful in establishing what a great benefit her treatments can provide.
A good opportunity for a couple more keywords and reassurance to the future client that yes, auditory therapy is a good idea. It's not a particularly complicated site from a technical perspective, but what made it interesting was having to address so many different audiences with only one approach. I think this site supports her brand identity, her clients' need for information, and the first phase of her marketing efforts.
