a love letter to a shoe
i love you. you're soft and squnchy and feel like a little cloud under my foot. you're light and comfy. you're not too hot even though you're made of foam and you're not too cold even though you're perforated. and this is even in snowy colorado! you match every single outfit i own. you are wonderful and perfect and i can't imagine life without you. ever since i met you, i've been losing weight because now i am so much more active. my foot pain is gone and i can stand on my feet for hours without complaint. i taught for five hours the other day, went to a party for four hours after that, stood on my feet the entire time, and still felt fine! and you're so inexpensive! what a cheap, convenient, washable date you are! i can take you to work or to school or to that trendy night on the town... and you look fabulous wherever you go! i just wanted you to know how much you mean to me. i'll never be the same again, and i'm grateful for that every single day. love always, bonney |
